Montney-Dawson Creek

The Lower Triassic Montney Formation of North Eastern British Columbia has emerged as one of North America’s premiere unconventional gas plays. It is located in the Dawson Creek area just south of Horn River shale. Detailed sequence stratigraphy in the Montney can be linked to seismic data to create enhanced interpretation. Additional depositional and stratigraphic information could be gleaned from seismic both on regional and local basis. Together with our partner Olympic Seismic Ltd., Arcis has acquired approximately 1500 km2 of high-resolution seismic data, which helps area players to evaluate their prospects.
