Arcis Seismic Solutions (Arcis) is a wholly owned subsidiary of TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company. Arcis was founded in 1996 with a head office located in Calgary, Alberta Canada and a strong regional business development presence in Latin America (Colombia) and the Middle East / North Africa (Cyprus). Arcis offers seismic solutions to the energy industry including seismic data processing, reservoir analysis, geo-consulting services, advanced imaging, co-investment surveys, geotechnical services, project management, data marketing and access to an extensive data library. Arcis offers one of the most current 2D and 3D seismic data libraries for the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin, including Northeast British Columbia.

Arcis employs over 80 professional and technical personnel who have a broad range of skills, expertise and experience.

Brief History

Established in 1996 as a small start-up company, Arcis grew quickly through diversification and acquisition. The goal was to build an integrated geophysical services company. Entrepreneurs founded Arcis and that entrepreneurial spirit continues to flourish.

In November of 1997, Arcis listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange as RKS with an initial public offering of $6 million.

On February 29th, 2004 Arcis became a privately-held company, having completed the legal process to privatize.

On June 15th, 2012, TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company (“TGS”) acquired Arcis Seismic Solutions Corp.
