Digital Elevation Modeling
Arcis uses digital elevation modeling as a tool to aid in the pre-planning and operation of their seismic programs. Using various data sources such as DEMs, LiDAR and vector data, we are able to create a digital terrain and determine various factors that may impact the way a program or project may be handled in the field. Factors such as slope and aspect, elevation gain, and drainage patterns can all affect how a seismic program is designed. 3D mapping and automated fly-throughs can give decision makers better insight into what type of terrain they are up against before field operations begin.
