On Site Professional Project Management

Arcis employs Project Managers with many years of local, national and international experience.  In addition, their varied backgrounds from working within industry as drillers, surveyors and management, enhance their skills as Project Managers.  Their collaborative efforts provide Arcis with great diversity of experience that is evident in products that are provided.

Compliance with HSE regulations

Field HSE Advisors assist Project Managers by performing compliance worksite audits on contractors, worksite hazard assessments, equipment safety inspections, conducting general safety meetings, incident investigations when necessary and continually striving to invoke  safety culture on Arcis project sites.

Safety Management System

Arcis is very proud of its Safety Management System and the “safety culture” that has been created as a result of strong support for the program from the President and its Senior Management Team – “Safety is everyone’s responsibility”.  An extensive procurement process has been established to classify contractors’ safety management systems.  Periodic audits are performed on contractors to verify their compliance.  Arcis performs internal audits annually and an external audit is performed every 3 years by a qualified auditor to verify the safety management system.  The senior management team visits various project sites at least annually in support of the entire operations team to effectively communicate and listen to any concerns that employees and contractors may express.

Procurement Process

Arcis has established an extensive procurement process for all contractors whereby a pre-qualification questionnaire along with a copy of the safety management system and other pertinent documents such as: Certificate of Insurance, WCB Clearance Letter and Rate Sheet, sample safety forms filled out, etc. are submitted to the Safety Department for review and verification process.  Every contractor’s safety program is classified, recommendations are forwarded back to the contractor on items requiring improvement and a report is passed to the Operations Department who may approve the company onto the preferred contractor list.

Final Project Summaries and Reports

Open communication is essential to conducting efficiently operating projects.  To this extent Arcis provides daily, weekly and/or monthly reports as per the client’s request.  At the end of the project all of the field documents are scanned into electronic format, copied onto DVD and along with copies of the field documents, placed in a presentation binder and delivered to the client.

Active supporter of the CAPP stewardship program and Safety Stand Down Week

Every year Arcis participates in the industry stewardship program “Safety Stand Down Week” by having Senior Management staff visit various project sites, present industry suggested themes to workers and engage them in discussion on related safety topics.  This event is beneficial for all involved as senior management staff is reminded of what their front line workers experience daily and workers have an opportunity to communicate with decision makers.
