Arcis Seismic Solutions (Arcis) is committed to protecting the health and safety of employees and all people involved in day to day operations. Our intent is to minimize the environmental footprint of operations on natural surroundings. Our goal is to eliminate all injuries and unsafe practices from our activities.

 To meet our commitment, Arcis will:

  • Demonstrate visible and active leadership that engages employees and service providers in managing their own health and safety performance.
  • Advocate front-line responsibility with clearly defined authorities and accountabilities.
  • Ensure that all employees and contractors are aware of their legislated responsibility to ensure their own safety and the safety of those around them.
  • Manage all projects, products and processes in a manner that promotes health and safety and minimizes impacts on the environment.
  • Provide employees and contractors with the resources necessary to instill personal ownership and motivation to aspire to health and safety excellence.
  • Utilize practices and procedures that meet or exceed provincial regulated requirements.

 

Safety Policy

Safety is an integral part of Arcis’ operations and is intended to protect our employees, clients, property, the environment and the public.

Safety is important to Arcis. By protecting our employees and contractors, we are also protecting their families, fellow coworkers, the public and the environment from the far-reaching effects of serious incidents.

Employees, contractors and visitors who knowingly violate safety rules may face disciplinary actions, dismissal or legal action.

Arcis is committed to ensuring all applicable Federal and Provincial Legislation is incorporated into our safety management system and to the consistent compliance with that legislation.

Everyone employed or contracted to conduct work for Arcis is responsible for maintaining the safety program. Managers and Supervisors are responsible for identifying safety needs, communicating safety hazards, investigating hazardous conditions and accidents, ensuring competency of workers, ensuring personal protective equipment is worn when required and ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and inspected according to legislative and manufacturer’s standards. Manager and Supervisor roles are supported with input from employees and contractors.

Arcis’ employees, contractors and visitors are responsible for obeying all safety rules, following safe work procedures and practices, wearing personal protective equipment when required, participating in all aspects of the safety program as requested and informing Managers or Supervisors of any unsafe work conditions.

Everyone has the legal right and obligation to refuse work tasks when unsafe conditions exist or if they are not trained to conduct such tasks. Management is responsible for implementing the necessary controls to mitigate the hazard or condition and to ensure the worker is adequately trained to perform work tasks.
