- Satinder Chopra Receives Awards
The 2008 SEG Convention had more than 1150 abstracts received for review, this year's Technical Program included 88 diverse
sessions. Geoscience professionals from all geophysical disciplines and all parts of the world were represented. Satinder Chopra
had three presentations at the convention and all three where voted to be in the top 30 best presentations!

- Arcis ranks 196 in Alberta for Venture 100 (and Next 100)
Annually, Alberta Venture magazine ranks Alberta-based companies,
based on revenue, to determine the top 100 companies (and
the next 100). The list includes public, private and crown
corporations. Arcis ranked 196 in 2006 with revenues of
$63,353,000 (2005 revenues). The top ten are:
Imperial Oil, Petro-Canada, EnCana, Shell, Husky, Suncor, CNRL, Enbridge, Talisman and Nova Chemicals.

- Work Safe Alberta 2005 Best Performer Award
Arcis was selected for the Work Safe Alberta 2005 Best Performer Award for exceptional performance in workplace health & safety.
Of Alberta's 128,000 employers, approximately 350 earned this award. Arcis met the following criteria:
- A current Alberta WCB account
- A current certificate of recognition
- A lost time claim rate (LTC) less than 2.0 LTCs per 100 person years, a
LTC rate of 40% better than our industry's LTC rate, no LTCs in the
most recent 120 consecutive person years of employment, and no more than one
additional LTC per additional 120 person years.
- No workplace related fatalities
- No outstanding compliance orders under the Alberta Occupational Health
and Safety (OHS) Act and no current prosecution for a violation

Cardinal, Minister, Alberta Human Resources and Employment.
