Brad Torry
President, CEO and Director of Participation Surveys
Brad Torry has been with Arcis since its earliest days beginning
in 1996. In addition to the President and CEO roles, Brad
is responsible for ensuring the technical integrity of Arcis'
proprietary data library, identification of new exploration
areas requiring seismic data and evaluating business development
opportunities and solutions that will benefit our clients. Brad
has extensive industry experience in prospect/trend delineation,
including economic and risk analysis in the area of 2D and 3D
seismic. Prior to joining Arcis in 1997, he spent 10 years with
Unocal Canada Exploration Limited in several positions including
Senior Geophysicist. Brad's experience has included operations
management, technical consultation, and quality control, across
North America, with extensive operational and interpretation
expertise of 2D and 3D in Western Canada.
Holly Elrick, CA
Sr. Vice President Finance & CFO
Holly joined Arcis as Controller in 2000 from an international
accounting firm in their energy and production assurance group.
Holly was responsible for Arcis’ public company reporting and
regulatory requirements. In 2001, Holly moved into the CFO
position and has played a key role in Arcis’ acquisitions,
financings and privatization. Holly’s responsibilities include
shareholder reporting, corporate finance, tax and strategic
planning for Arcis.
Robert G. Howey, P. Geoph.
Sr. Vice President, Seismic Data Processing
Rob Howey's primary role is to develop Arcis' seismic data processing centre into a more diverse service provider. Other key responsibilities include coordinating software development and optimizing hardware and network utilization. Rob has over 25 years of experience in 2D and 3D seismic data processing. He has been involved in processing domestic and international data for numerous onshore and offshore projects during his career. Rob has significant expertise in stratigraphic environments and areas of complex structure.
John Ropchan
VP Geophysical Operations
John started his seismic journey as a surveyor over 30 years ago. Using his
seismic operations experience and expertise, he leads the Geophysical Operations
Department, ensuring operational excellence and quality in our products in the
safest possible manner. John is actively involved in the industry and is also a
board member with CAGC. Currently John is the VP of Geophysical Operations with
Arcis Corporation, managing Project Management, Multi-Client, and Proprietary
acquisition programs, as well as the Arcis QHSE systems and process.
Pete Mathews
Controller
Pete Mathews joined Arcis in the position of Controller in April 2009 from an
international accounting firm in their oil & gas assurance group. Pete brings
over eight years of public accounting experience and management skills to the
Arcis corporate accounting group. Pete is responsible for the preparation of the
company’s financial statements, assists our external auditors, corporate tax
filings and managing the day to day accounting needs of the company.
Katja Akentieva
Manager, Participation Surveys
Katja manages the Surveys business unit of Arcis. She is
responsible for developing seismic acquisition and processing
opportunities, on a proprietary or non-proprietary basis. Her
focus is on prospect evaluation, data sales, risk analysis and
project management of potential new business ventures. Katja
joined Arcis with over 10 years of international experience with
Schlumberger during which time she also acquired an in-house
company sponsored MBA. Katja has extensive hands-on seismic data
acquisition and processing experience and has held sales focused
account management positions.
Thane McKay
VP Sales
Thane McKay is responsible for the success of Arcis' business development efforts for the Seismic Data Processing group, including the development and execution of sales strategies which support Arcis' goals and objectives. Thane has worked in the geophysical seismic processing industry for 25 plus years. He is known to hundreds of people in the North American geophysical industry and has a strong understanding of the needs and wants of most oil companies in Calgary.
Mike Kary
Senior
Manager, Data Marketing
Mike Kary manages the operations of Kary Data (an Arcis company). Mike joined Arcis through the acquisition of Kary Data Consultants Ltd. in 2004. He brings with him over 28 years of industry experience within the Geophysical Brokerage and Seismic Data Management business within Canada and the United States. He spent 3 years in the United States gaining industry knowledge and contacts within the seismic brokerage business and still utilizes a number of contacts to initiate cross border transactions for clients exploring within Canada and the United States.
Sharon Richardson
Director, Human Resources
Sharon Richardson's role at Arcis is that of coach, facilitator,
consultant, and program developer for the Human Resources
function. She brings a wealth of human resource and business
strategy experience to Arcis. For over 20 years Sharon has
worked both within large organizations and in a consulting
capacity. Sharon has held a variety of Human Resources roles
including V.P. Administration and Chief Negotiator; in industry
sectors as broad as health care, education, and oil and gas.
