New Basin Exploration Opportunity – Nechako Basin – Central British Columbia
Arcis Corporation in cooperation with Geoscience BC are pleased to announce today (November 16th) an initiative to encourage new activity in the intermontaine basins of British Columbia. This included the signing of a definitive agreement in which Geoscience BC has acquired the rights to all seismic data previously acquired by Canadian Hunter Exploration in the mid 1980’s. Concurrent to this announcement, Geoscience BC and Arcis are entering into an agreement whereby Arcis will assume responsibility for reprocessing, marketing and management of the seismic data.
Reprocessing of the data has commenced and to date significant improvement in subsurface imaging has been recognized. Active marketing and data availability shall commence immediately with anticipation of delivery of final results prior to March 31, 2007 to interested parties.
Execution of the agreements marks completion of a process that commenced in 2003 as part of the British Columbia Ministry of Energy and Mines initiative. “We are excited about the opportunity to continue our efforts with Geoscience BC and industry to identify new oil and gas and mineral exploration opportunities in these frontier basins. Presently, long term vision for the project is to determine if the basins contain potential to satisfy future local or global needs for hydrocarbons and minerals” said Brad Torry, Senior Vice President of Arcis. Companies interested in details of the current proposal and future plans for uncovering the potential of these new basins can contact an Arcis representative or Geoscience BC.

Onshore Division of Petroleum Geo-Services (PGS) of Houston Recently Awarded Two
Large, High-density, 3D Processing Projects to Arcis.
The two projects include the processing of the newly acquired
Cambridge 3D (220 square miles) and the 3D merge of eight
3Ds (928 square miles) in Oklahoma. This is a significant
technical win for Arcis and may be the largest land 3D
dataset to be processed in Calgary. As part of Arcis'
commitment to PGS, Arcis has added 454 compute nodes
to bring the CPU total to nearly 1,000 compute nodes in its Calgary office.
Explor Data 2D Reprocessing Agreement
Explor Data Ltd and Arcis have entered into an agreement to reprocess
Explor's 2D structural data as part of an ongoing project to improve the quality
and consistency of their entire 2D data library. The library
consists of over 17,000 km of high quality regional 2D data
within the AB/BC Foothills, North West Territories, Montana and North Dakota.
Arcis has the innovative tools and experienced personnel
capable of reprocessing complex, structural seismic data. The
project was awarded based on the quality of the test line and as of August 2006, Arcis has
processed over 50,000 records. It is anticipated that the project will continue
throughout 2006 and into 2007.
OXY Libya Awards Contract to Arcis

Arcis Commissions Piano Composition to Celebrate 10th Anniversary
To commemorate Arcis’ 10th Anniversary, we have sponsored the commission of an
eight-minute work for solo piano by Alberta-born composer, Heather Schmidt. Twenty one pianists
invited to the Honens competition quarterfinals will perform this new work
and one quarterfinalist will be chosen to receive a $3,000 prize, donated by Arcis,
for “Best Performance of the Commissioned Work”.
The name of the Commissioned work is Nebula. This is what Heather wrote about the piece:
“Nebula is the name for a cloudlike mass of dust and gas - a phenomenon in the universe
that provides the environment from which stars are created. Nebula seemed to be a fitting
title for this musical composition because it captures the essence of the music -
both the spacious, timeless quality of the opening, as well as the continual transformation
and build in energy that imply something powerful such as the birth of a star.”

additional LTC per additional 120 person years.
- No workplace related fatalities
- No outstanding compliance orders under the Alberta Occupational Health
and Safety (OHS) Act and no current prosecution for a violation

Exploration Comeback Creates Seismic Shift - Calgary Herald Article by Shaun Polczer, May 20th.
Excerpt from article:
Because of the cyclic nature of the geophysical business, Calgary seismic broker Arcis Corp. made a decision in 2004 to withdraw its Toronto Stock Exchange listing to become a private company.
Senior vice-president Brad Torry said the company hasn't looked back.
"Public markets are focused quarter to quarter," he said. "It's difficult to be a public company when investors don't understand your business. We're a lot happier being private."
After struggling since 1996 to stay on top of market ups and downs, Torry sees smoother sailing while Arcis continues to build its data library in hot exploration regions in northeast British Columbia and northwest Alberta.
"It's been an extremely busy winter and we're looking at a steady summer," he said.
